Bajan Rum Punch

This punch follows the classic Barbados rhyme: “One of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak.” It’s a crowd-pleasing tropical favorite.

Ingredients

  • 120 ml fresh lime juice
  • 240 ml sugar syrup (1:1 sugar and water, cooled)
  • 360 ml dark rum
  • 480 ml water or soda water
  • Few dashes aromatic bitters
  • Grated nutmeg, to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix lime juice, sugar syrup, rum, and water in a large jug.
  2. Add bitters and stir well.
  3. Serve over ice and sprinkle nutmeg on top.
